Michael A. Chipowsky, chairman, Hopewell Valley September 11th and Emergency Services Memorial Committee
With Labor Day behind us and the school year beginning, it is time to remember an event that we all wish had never occurred — the attacks on our nation that happened on Sept. 11, 2001.
We pause each year to remember the lives lost and the brave rescue workers who entered those burning towers and saved so many from that hell on earth. We also look with pride as our nation rose and quickly rebuilt all that had been destroyed.
While we hope and pray that we will never witness anything like what happened on that crystal clear September morning again, we must continue to remember.
Please join the Hopewell Valley September 11th and Emergency Services Memorial Committee as we present our annual Memorial Ceremony on Sept. 6 at 11 a.m. The ceremony will be held at Hopewell Township’s Alliger Park, next to the Hopewell Township Municipal Complex.
As well as remembering those lost on Sept. 11, we will remember all of our Hopewell Valley police, fire and rescue organization members who passed away this year after serving our community for decades.
Please join us on Sept. 6.
