ROBERT WOOD JOHNSON UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL SIGNS ON AS THE OFFICIAL HOSPITAL OF RUTGERS ATHLETICS

(New Brunswick, N.J.) – As Rutgers Athletics enters its first year in the Big Ten Conference, it has strengthened its relationship with another important member of the New Jersey Community.
Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (RWJUH) has reached an exclusive agreement with IMG, the sports marketing arm of Rutgers Athletics, to serve as the Official Hospital Partner of Rutgers Athletics. Through the five-year agreement, RWJUH will have a substantial presence in Rutgers’ marketing and promotions of its sporting events, including:
•           Naming and signage of the North Gate at High Point Solutions Stadium
•           Advertising and signage opportunities for all sports and venues
•           Opportunity to Use Rutgers Athletics marks for promotional purposes

Along with enhanced visibility in Rutgers’ marketing and promotions of all athletics events, RWJUH, in coordination with Rutgers Athletic Department, will look to implement a comprehensive, year-round program including diet, exercise, and injury prevention messaging through a new community program, R Fit. When launched, R Fit will include on-site and off-site health and fitness clinics featuring student athletes, aiming to encourage youth wellness.
In addition to serving as the principal teaching hospital for Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, RWJUH also a leader in sports injury and orthopedic rehabilitation services in Central New Jersey offering specialized sports medicine programs that provides both athletes and active people of all ages access to comprehensive care – helping them achieve their health and performance goals. The hospital is also the official health care provider for the Somerset Patriots and the U.S. Rowing Team.
