Edison High School, 50 Boulevard of Eagles, will host a talk on "Wills, Probate & Elder Law" March 15 from 7-8:30 p.m. Kenneth Vercammen, a lawyer with offices in Metuchen and Cranbury, will give the presentation. The presentation is free for Edison seniors who preregister and $25 for all others.
Vercammen will discuss topics such as wills, estate planning, how to hire an elder law estate planning attorney, power of attorney, living wills, federal estate tax, and revocable trusts.

Rotary’s ‘Wine Tasting’ slated for March 1
The Edison and South Plainfield Rotary Clubs will present the annual "Wine Tasting" March 1 from 6-9 p.m. at The Clarion Hotel and Towers, Route 27 and Talmadge Road, Edison.
Donation is $20, and wines, micro-brewed beer, hors d’oeuvres and dessert will be served. Tickets may be purchased at Primetime Entertainers, 2849 Woodbridge Ave., Edison; Oak Tree Discount Wine & Spirits, 902 Oak Tree Road, Plainfield; and VW Liquors & Bar, 561 Route 1, Edison.

Chamber’s ‘New Member Welcome’ Feb. 19
The Edison Chamber of Commerce will hold a "New Member Welcome" event Feb. 19 at 8:30 a.m. at Certified Kitchens, Raritan Center Parkway, Edison. The chamber will introduce 40 new members at the networking event. Each new member will also be presented with the Edison chamber plaque and most recent member directory.

Ryan CEO receives recognition award
The Community Development Corporation, Edison, a community outreach affiliate of the First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens, Somerset, recently honored Rod Ryan with a Corporate Recognition Award. Ryan is president and CEO of Ryan Automotive LLC, Edison. Ryan was honored for support and contributions during 2003.
The Community Development Corporation was created in 1992 as a nonsectarian nonprofit to improve the social, education and economic conditions in the community. Doug Jeffries, sales consultant and external affairs liaison for a Ryan branch, sits on the corporation’s board of directors as a Ryan representative.
Ryan Automotive group was founded in 1972 and has contributed time, personnel and cars to raise funds for local hospitals, charitable organizations, municipal programs for youth and families, and arts and preservation programs. It has branches in Wayne, Morristown, Denville, Mountain Lakes, East Brunswick and Edison.
