THEFT – Joseph Kieffer, 38, of Hightstown was arrested and charged with burglary and theft, which occurred on Sept. 4 between the hours of 1 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. at Windsor Regency Apartments.
The complainant reported that while she was briefly outside her apartment, a male subject entered through an unlocked door.
Upon the complainant’s return to the apartment, the suspect was observed seated at the kitchen table. Upon being confronted by the resident, Mr. Kieffer allegedly left the apartment with the victim’s cellular telephone.
Mr. Kieffer was located by responding officers nearby and arrested by Patrol Officer Scott Brown. The cellular phone was returned to the victim, according to police.
THEFT – A complainant reported that his unlocked vehicle was entered while parked on Bolton Road between 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 3 and 3 p.m. on Sept. 4 on Bolton Road.
A GPS unit worth approximately $100 was reported stolen along with a RADAR detector worth approximately $100 and approximately $150 in change were reported stolen.
THEFT – A complainant reported that his unlocked vehicle was entered while parked on Probasco Road between 11:30 p.m. on Sept. 3 and 7 a.m. on Sept. 4. A radio worth approximately $100 was reported stolen from the vehicle.
DUI – Patrick Brunetti, 34, of East Windsor was charged with drinking under the influence, reckless driving, careless driving, leaving the scene of an accident, and failure to report an accident.
Patrol Officer Dale Kleinkauf responded to Avon Drive at 4:25 p.m. on Sept. 7 for a report of a vehicle which had just struck a mailbox unit for the apartment building and left the scene.
Mr. Brunetti’s vehicle was pointed out to the officer by bystanders and was found to have fresh damage consistent with the collision, according to police.
The vehicle was found to be registered to a resident of an apartment within the complex where the vehicle was located and officers responded to the apartment, where the Mr. Brunetti was located.
Mr. Brunetti was found to have slurred speech and bloodshot, watery eyes, according to police.
He was given field sobriety tests and arrested for DUI. He was later released pending court action. There were no injuries reported as a result of the accident.
SUSPENDED LICENSE – Christopher M. Guillaumette Jr., 20, of East Windsor was charged with driving while suspended, unlicensed driver and failure to surrender drivers license on Sept. 18 at 10:48 p.m. on One Mile Road.
While on patrol in the area of Oak Creek Road and Dutch Neck Road the Patrol Officer Joseph Carabelli conducted a check of a vehicle’s registration which revealed Mr. Guillaumette’s driving privileges were suspended.
The vehicle was stopped and, while speaking with the driver, the officer smelled the odor of marijuana from within the vehicle, police said.
An investigation revealed the juvenile passenger was in possession of marijuana which she attempted to conceal in her clothing.
The passenger was arrested and later released to the custody of a parent pending court action.
The juvenile female, 17, of Hightstown, was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, obstructing justice, and tampering with evidence.
DUI – Elizabeth Papaioannou, 51, of East Windsor was charged with drinking under the influence, reckless driving, careless driving, failure to maintain lane, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle, possession of open alcohol in a motor vehicle, and an obstructed view at 12:45 a.m. on Sept. 19 on Route 33.
Patrol officers responded to the area of Route 133 and Route 33 on a report of an erratic driver operating a silver Volkswagen.
The vehicle was stopped in the area of Route 33 east near Lake Drive.
While speaking with Ms. Papaioannou Patrol Officer David Berez smelled the odor of an alcoholic beverage from within the vehicle, police said.
Ms. Papaioannou was given field sobriety tests and arrested for DUI. She was later released pending court action.
AGGRAVATED ASSAULT – Mario R. Castillo, 47, of East Windsor was charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats, possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, cruelty to children, simple assault, harassment, careless driving, reckless driving, unlicensed driver, obstructed view, and failure to exhibit registration at 6:13 pm on Sept. 21 at the Twin Rivers Mall.
Patrol Officers responded to Twin Rivers Mall on a report of a motor vehicle accident.
The investigation revealed that Mr. Castillo purposely collided with the rear of the other vehicle, which was being operated by his former spouse, according to police.
Upon the vehicles coming to a stop, Mr. Castillo allegedly initiated a physical altercation with the adult male passenger after he exited the car.
The vehicle he collided with was also occupied at the time by two children, according to police.
Mr. Castillo was arrested and transported to Mercer County Correctional Facility in lieu of $35,000 bail. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident, police said.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF – A resident reported criminal mischief to the patio of the home between the overnight hours of Sept. 21 and Sept. 22 on Aristotle Way.
During the overnight hours an unknown person poured paint on the patio. The estimated cost for repairs was $250.
A second resident reported criminal mischief to the patio and home between the overnight hours of Sept. 23 and Sept. 24 on Aristotle Way.
During the overnight hours an unknown person poured paint on the patio and spray painted the side of the residence. The cost to repair the damage was estimated at $5,000.
