HILLSBOROUGH: Township woman killed in head-on crash

A Hillsborough woman was killed in a head-on crash Sunday morning on Millstone River Road near the Blackwell Mills causeway.
Hillsborough police said Nancy Louie, 50, was driving a 1991 BMW 525 north at 10:25 a.m. when a 2012 Ford Focus driven by Sahil Kulgod, 21, of Plainsboro, came from the opposite direction and crossed into her lane of travel, according to the preliminary investigation.
Melissa Louie, 20, a passenger in the BMW and the daughter of the driver, and Mr. Kulgod were both taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police said. Nancy Louie succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Millstone River Road was closed in both directions for about five hours while police detailed the crash scene. It remains under investigation by township police. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to a call the township police department at 908-369-4323, ext. 8.
Responding to the scene were the Hillsborough Township Rescue Squad, Fire Station 38 (Woods Road firehouse), the township Office of Emergency Management, Somerset County’s Collision Analysis Reconstruction Team and the New Jersey Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.
