MANVILLE: Band group offers up spaghetti dinner

Spaghetti dinner: Manville High School Band hosts meal of spaghetti, meatballs, bread, salad, dessert, drinks from 1-5 p.m. at American Legion, 429 S. Main St. Tickets at door: $10 for adults, $5 for seniors and kids under 10. Takeout orders available.
Mon., Jan. 26
Borough Council: Meeting starts at new time of 7 p.m. in borough hall on North Main Street.
Tues., Jan. 27
School board: The Board of Education will meet beginning at 5:30 p.m. n the curriculum office of the school on North 13th Avenue to discuss Board of Education goals. The meeting will be held in open session and the board will go into executive session. No action will be taken.
Sat., Jan. 31
School board: The Board of Education will hold a retreat beginning at noon in the curriculum office of the school on North 13th Avenue. The meeting will begin in public and the board intends to go into closed session. No action will be taken.
Sun., Feb. 1
Parish breakfast: Christ the Redeemer Altar Rosary Society sponsors meal, 8 to 11:30 am, Sacred Heart Church Auditorium, South Main and Filak streets. Scrambled eggs, sausage, pancakes, French toast and potatoes. Adult, $5; children (6-12 years old) $2; five and under free. For information call 908-725-0072.

Slavic dinner: St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church holds monthly dinner, 4 to 7 p.m., St. Mary Parish Center, 1900 Brooks Blvd. $13 for adults (ages 9 and up) and $5 for children (8 and under). All-you-can-eat pirohi, stuffed cabbage, kielbasa and sauerkraut, mashed potatoes. A surprise entrée will be prepared by St. Mary’s chef John Pagano. Orders to go available.
