Mechanical problems knocked the Dinky train out of service Saturday night and through the Monday morning rush hour, leaving rail riders to use substitute bus transportation.
The train shuttles between Princeton Station and Princeton Junction Station.
NJ Transit spokesman William J Smith said Monday that the agency was hopeful of restoring service “later” in the day Monday.
“If not, we anticipate resuming normal service for (Tuesday’s) rush,” he said.
