HAMILTON: new Philly-centric eatery comes to town

HAMILTON — Mayor Kelly Yaede went behind the counter to help make a famous Philly cheesesteak during the grand opening of Wit or Witout? Famous Philly Eats.
The event took place March 3 at the Philadelphia eatery’s first location in New Jersey at the Shoppes at AMC on Sloan Avenue in Hamilton.
“We are thrilled to open Wit or Witout? in Hamilton,” Tony Altomare, founder of Wit or Witout?, said. “The neighborhood is an ideal area for our company as we look for well-established communities and neighbors that work hard and appreciate tradition. I think the residents of Hamilton are going to fall in love with our food and our culture of service.”
The Philly-centric eatery serves cheesesteaks with or without onions, South Philly hoagies and tomato pies as well as spicy fries and other sides for eat-in or carryout. Wit or Witout? also caters for private and corporate events and tailgate parties.
“Our customers always rave that we have the best cheesesteaks and tomato pie they’ve ever had, so we are excited to bring these Philly favorites to Hamilton Township,” Mr. Altomare said. “We live and breathe our mission to provide great food with great Philly attitude and now is an exciting tome for us as we expand into New Jersey.”
Along with winning Guy Fieri’s “Cheesesteak Battle,” the eatery was named among Philadelphia Business Journal’s “Top Seven Tastiest Cheesesteaks” and is also a Philadelphia Magazine “Best of Philly” winner for cheesteaks. Its tomato pie originated from recipes handed down from the Mr. Altomare’s grandmother and has also won several awards.
The new location is located next to the AMC Hamilton 24 and near the Hamilton New Jersey Transit Station.
The eatery’s business hours are Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to midnight, and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
