The Y’s South Camp is able to utilize the high school’s classrooms, the gymnasium and outdoor environment. South Camp is for children ages 5 to 12.
The camp sessions are one week each, beginning June 22 and running through Aug. 14. Camp hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with optional extended hours. Morning extended care begins at 7:15. Afternoon extended care runs through 6.
“When at Y South Camp, kids are given new responsibilities, and they learn independence. As a result, they become more confident, open to trying new things and grow as individuals and as part of a group,” said Senior Program Director Kristin Heimall.
