HOPEWELL TOWNSHIP: Police blotter


A Lawrenceville man was charged with possession of 69 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after he was stopped by Officer John Ferner on Route 31 near Mine Road at 10:22 a.m. July 3. Angelo M. Dimeglio, 21, tried to elude police by pulling his 2012 Volkswagen into a private driveway. But police arrested him and charged him with eluding a police officer. He was also charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle and speeding, in addition to the other charges. He was processed and released. His case will be forwarded to the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office, according to police. 

Margaret Rotunda, 67, of Ewing was charged with contempt of court after the 2009 Honda she was driving was stopped by Officer Joseph Maccaquano at 11:12 a.m. July 9 on Scotch Road near I-95. A license plate check by police discovered that Ms. Rotunda was driving while her license was suspended and that she had outstanding warrants. She was also charged with driving while suspended, driving while uninsured and driving without a license. She posted bail and was released pending a court appearance. 

A Hopewell Township woman was charged with driving while intoxicated after her car was stopped by Sgt. Kevin Zorn at 1:42 a.m. July 11 on Route 29 near Church Road. Susann H. Clothier, 32, was also charged with reckless driving, failure to submit to a breath test and having a broken windshield. She was processed and released to a friend, pending an appearance in municipal court. 
