This fall, Amsterdam Elementary School will celebrate 25 years of educating students in Hillsborough. The school is planning a community celebration for October and is looking for former teachers, students, and/or friends to lend a hand.
In preparation, the school is looking for nostalgic Amsterdam School T-shirts as well as memories and stories from years past. If you have an Amsterdam Elementary School T-shirt (no matter the condition) and are willing to donate it to the celebration, drop off the washed shirt at the school. Note that it will not be returned.
The anniversary planning committee is looking for memories and stories from former students and teachers to be included in a video that is being created for the celebration.
Email any memories or stories to Amsterdam Principal Mary Ann Mullady at [email protected] to be considered.
Amsterdam School welcomed its first students in September 1990. At the time, the school housed kindergarten through 5th grade students. The school is home to more than 525 students in kindergarten through fourth grade and more than 50 teachers and support staff.
