SOUTH BRUNSWICK — A 2009 Infiniti G37, which had been reported stolen from Long Island, N.Y., earlier this month, was recovered in a South Brunswick Township resident’s driveway July 14, according to the South Brunswick Township Police Department.
The car had been reported stolen on July 6, police said. Three days later, a South Brunswick Township resident went to the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission on Route 130 to transfer the title for the Infiniti G37.
When New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission records came back July 13, it showed that the vehicle had been reported stolen, police said.
Detectives spoke to the woman, who told them that she paid $9,500 for the car after seeing an advertisement for it on Craigslist. The seller brought the car to her and provided her with the title.
South Brunswick Police Department detectives are working with investigators from New York on the case, police said.
