Seven weeks ago there wasn’t even an East Windsor Elite 13U baseball team.
Six tournaments and 23 games later, the Elite has won four championships and has a 21-2 record. And the entire roster is made up of players from East Windsor.
“We came together just six weeks ago practicing and putting together 12 and 13 year olds who wanted to play and represent East Windsor,” manager Tom Meneskie said. “Our hard work and dedication has taken us to Montgomery, Hillsborough, Sewell, Medford, Manahawkin and Bensalem (Pa.).
“More importantly than all our wins, is we have a group of boys who have sacrificed and bonded together in a short period to form an incredible team, representing our township both on and off the field.”
The Elite’s roster features Jake Meneskie, Michael Caniano, Nicholas Feretic, Ben Simon, Nicky Desmond, Liam Monahan, Dan Brady, Spencer Kenny, Colin Detrolio, Jared Stillwagon, William Auker, Ethan Bussa, Julio Jaurez, Jonathan Drews and Christopher Drews. Meneskie, Nick Feretic, Brian Auker and David Drews are the team’s coaches.
