HOPEWELL TOWNHIP — Mercer County officials have announced that road construction work is ongoing at two locations within Hopewell Township.
At Bayberry Road, east of Morris Drive, there is construction work to complete replacement of a bridge along Bayberry Road over a tributary of Honey Branch Brook. The work is slated to continue into September.
There will be complete reconstruction of the bridge, located about 1,100 feet east of Morris Drive. The work started in late July. Construction takes place between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., weekdays only.
A detour is posted, directing eastbound motorists to Pennington-Rocky Hill and Carter roads. Westbound traffic is directed to Alta Vista Drive and Elm Ridge and Pennington-Rocky Hill roads.
At Poor Farm Road, south of Harbourton-Woodsville Road, roadwork will continue into September over a tributary of Jacobs Creek, about 1 mile south of Harbourton-Woodsville Road.
Construction takes place between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., weekdays only.
A detour will be posted, directing motorists to use Harbourton-Woodsville, Trenton-Harbourton and Woosamonsa roads.
