George Borek, Alison Miller, Ayesha Krishnan Hamilton
West Windsor
We are Community First, a team of three candidates for West Windsor Township Council: Councilman George Borek, former Councilwoman Alison Miller, and attorney and business owner Ayesha Krishnan Hamilton. Our team has a vision: to provide the leadership, knowledge, professionalism and the voice that you need on your Township Council to build a community that will make us all proud to call West Windsor our home.
Like you, we are passionate about preserving and contributing to the activities that make West Windsor the type of community we want to live in. We were attracted to West Windsor for its excellent educational system, parks, farms and open space. We care for our town and enjoy all it has to offer — from cultural festivals to Bike Fest to soccer and baseball — these activities bring our residents together to create a sense of community. We are also focused on working to grow our business community in a way that enhances our town without burdening our schools and services.
As we think about what our town will look like in five, 10, and 20 years, we are especially mindful of how development will have the potential to alter the face of our town. We are dedicated to careful long-term, fiscally responsible planning, making West Windsor an even better place to live. Our team offers a comprehensive array of skills and interests to guide our town into the future.
Ayesha, a solo practitioner attorney, offers the experience this town needs to understand the issues, ask the tough questions and focus on solutions that are beneficial to West Windsor residents. As a West Windsor business owner, she is connected to the business community and perfectly positioned to understand and address related issues. Ayesha’s experience negotiating with contractors and builders, coupled with her service on the Affordable Housing Committee, ensures that the township will be well represented as it addresses future development plans.
Alison has worked tirelessly for the past 24 years volunteering her time. She has served most notably on the Township Council and the planning and zoning boards. She is currently serving on the Affordable Housing Committee, Friends of West Windsor Open Space, the West Windsor Bicycle and Pedestrian Alliance, and the West Windsor Parking Authority. She has seen this township thrive and has been involved in many facets of its beautification — issues which remain near and dear to her heart. She was a driving force in the creation of the 9/11 Memorial and is a strong advocate for the bike and pedestrian pathways that make West Windsor such a desirable place to live. As a certified planner, Alison will bring her knowledge of context and eye for detail to the council’s fiscal and policy-making responsibilities.
Finally, George, a leader in this community, is a sitting councilman who also uses his expertise as a professional firefighter on the township’s Emergency Management Council. He is a key force in serving West Windsor and protecting what we love about this town. As a role model, coach, and mentor, he is a pillar of this community whose continued devotion and involvement is an asset to West Windsor.
Together, the Community First team will use our professional skills and backgrounds to analyze every matter before the council intelligently to ensure the best, most efficient of our tax dollars and resources.
Our team is honored to have the chance to serve you, West Windsor — our neighbors and friends — on the council. We ask for your support on Nov. 3.
