WEST WINDSOR-PLAINSBORO: DeGroote will ensure your voice is heard

Zhigang Zhang, West Windsor
If you are deeply concerned about the quality of education your kids are receiving, if you wish to know more about the processes of policy formulation and implementation at school level, if you plan to take part in the discussion during the Board of Education meetings and want your voice heard, I suggest you take a look at Jordon DeGroote’s campaign website http://www.degroote4boe.org/. You will not be disappointed.
Jordon will bridge the gap between the board’s perception of the issues and the opinions from students and parents. He plans to improve board transparency by publishing the voting records of all board members and making them accessible online. He also proposes to release official board responses to questions raised through public comment.
I remember the days when I was a student at high school, college and the graduate school. Now I am a father of two kids and also an educator. I fully understand the importance of communications between school administrators and students, as well as board members and parents. I totally agree with Jordon that we should include student input in teacher evaluations to judge student’s perspective of teacher’s efficacy, and we should increase the frequency of unscheduled in-class evaluations to better judge teacher’s ability. After all, we want teachers who can provide the best education.
If you want to speak, Jordon will ensure that your voice is heard. If you want to help improve the school district, Jordon will listen to your suggestions and try to fix the system. So please vote for Jordon DeGroote for West Windsor-Plainsboro Board of Education.
