MONTGOMERY POLICE BLOTTER: Oct. 22


The residents of a Township Line Road home reported an attempted break-in to their home on Oct. 11 at 12:05 p.m. The residents noticed that a door leading into the attached garage had been kicked open and damaged, but no entry was made into the garage or house. 

Serene Niadoo, 52, of Princeton, was charged with driving while intoxicated after she went to the Police Department headquarters to file a police report at 5:13 p.m. Oct. 11. The police officer who met with her detected an odor of alcohol on her breath. After learning that she had driven to the Police Department, she was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while her license was suspended and having an unregistered motor vehicle. 

Cash and jewelry were reported stolen from a Chicopee Drive home after a burglar entered the house through an open window on the first floor. A resident returned home at 9:31 p.m. Oct. 16 and discovered the bedrooms had been ransacked. 
