Coach’s Thoughts: We have a pretty young team. We have four seniors, so looking at core group of kids you’re talking about our sophomore class. So we’re very young this year. Most of the sophomores played as a freshman last year in at least a game, so they have some experience, which is good. But you can’t take away from the fact have a big task this year proving what they can do. We have to prove ourselves in the state playoffs. Last year we felt we should have pushed and gone a little further. In the Skyland tournament we went to semifinals and took the eventual champ to overtime, so that was huge. We improved as the year went on but we have to keep that moving forward. We’re looking for leadership and guys to take control of the task at hand. I am confident in the personal. We have no wavering in that.

Head Coach: Andrew Ferencevych, third year
Last year: 1-22
Key returning players: Ken Culp (Sr.), Ian Schwartz (Sr.), William Cobb (Jr.), Adam Lohr-Pearson (Jr.), Gordon Sine (Jr.), David Corell (So.), Kevin Doody (So.), Sam Parris (So.).

Coach’s Thoughts: The Knights lost their leading scorer but return a majority of last season’s team. The Knights will be led by senior goaltender Ian Schwartz, who led the CVC in saves last season. The Knights defense will be led by junior William Cobb, who developed into the team’s No. 1 defenseman last season and also showed some offensive upside, as well as sophomore Kevin Doody. The Knights will be led up front by sophomore David Corell and junior Adam Lohr-Pearson and expect offensive contributions from senior Ken Culp, junior Gordon Sine and sophomores Nathan Potter and Sam Parris. The Knights have moved from the Colonial Division to the Valley Division and hope to compete for the Valley Division title.

Hun School
Head Coach: Ian McNally, fifth year
Last year: 22-3-3
Key returning players: Will Benthem de Grave (Sr.), Patrick Brake (Sr.), Reed Doerler (Sr.), Justin Grossman (Sr.), Kevin Guns (Sr.), Griffin Moroney (Sr.), Diesel Pelke (Sr.), Kyle Pettoni (Sr.), Jonathan Bendorf (Jr.), Thomas Brake (Jr.), Blake Brown (Jr.), Tanner Preston (Jr.), Frank Vitucci (So.).
Top newcomers: Michael Gavaletz (Sr.), Jack Chapel (Jr.), Griffin Ferrara (Jr.), Kyle Mandleur (Fr.).
Coach’s Thoughts: We will play the MAHL schedule this year with PDS, Lville, Hill, Wyoming Seminary, Portledge and La Salle. We will fill the rest of the year with mainly New Jersey and Pennsylvania non-publics and also head to Washington D.C. over winter break for a tournament again. We are hoping to keep the momentum going from last season and will look to compete with everyone we play. Big games will be with PDS in December and Lawrenceville in January. We have a bit of a turnover, including losing three senior defensemen and Evan Barratt to the USA Hockey national team development program. But we return a lot of kids as well including top scorers Bendorf and Brown. New freshman Kyle Mandleur will look to contribute offensively right away, something we’ve come to rely on in the past couple years.
Princeton Day School
Head Coach: Scott Bertoli, 10th year
Last year: 3-15-2
Key returning players: Connor Fletcher (Sr.), Keith Asplundh (Jr.), Logan Kramsky (Jr.), Jack Mascali (Jr.), Gianluca Travia (Jr.), Tyler Coffey (So.), Russell Freidman (So.), Ryan Lisk (So.), Nic Petruolo (So.), Eric Sherman (So.).
Top newcomers: Brian Frister (So.), Coby Auslander (Fr.).
Coach’s Thoughts: The team’s ability to score on a consistent basis and get contributions from its second and third lines will be crucial to the team’s success this year. Strong goaltending from junior Logan Kramsky should allow us to compete with the stronger programs in the Mid-Atlantic Hockey League.
