Vivian Catherine Grace Tushinski, 93, passed peacefully on Jan. 18 after a long fulfilling life.
Vivian Boehmer was born Oct. 27, 1922, in Kulpmont, Pennsylvania, to John W. Boehmer and Laura B. Freeze, where she grew up with her sister, Jean, and her brother, Harold. She later moved on and met and married her loving husband of 53 years, Frank Tushinski. Together, they moved to East Brunswick in 1955, where she worked tirelessly as a meat packer at ShopRite Stores. Her true gift and love, however, was raising her four children and giving selflessly of her heart and soul to them in order to make their lives greater than her own. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, a loving mother and a grandmother with a pure heart of gold.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Frank; her sister, Jean; her brother, Harold; and her devoted son, Richard.
She will forever be missed by all those whose lives she created and touched with her loving heart.
Survivors are her daughters, Mary Laura and Frances Catherine; her son, Robert Thomas; her granddaughters, Courtney Lynn and Francesca Vivian; her grandsons, Chad Ryan and Tristan Dallas; and her great granddaughters, Lila Garnett and Marlo Lee.
Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Jan. 21 at the Brunswick Memorial Home, 454 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 9 a.m. Jan. 22 at St. Thomas The Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 333 Route 18 S., Old Bridge.
