Olympic and world champion decathlete Ashton Eaton headlines a star-studded list of athletes that are committed to appear at the 109th NYRR Millrose Games Feb. 20 at The New Balance Armory in New York, New York.

Eaton, who broke his own decathlon world record when he won the gold medal at the 2016 World Championships in Beijing,  China, will compete in the long jump and the 60-meter hurdles. Eaton carriers the label of World’s Greatest Athlete as the Olympic champion.

Closer to home, Manalapan’s Robby Andrews is entered in the signature event of the Millrose Games, the Wanamaker Mile. Andrews was ranked No. 2 in the U.S. in the 1,500 in 2015 — a year in which he made the 1,500 finals at the World Championships.

Andrews looks to add the Wanamaker Mile title to the Millrose High School Mile crown that he won while a student at Manalapan High School. While at the University of Virginia, Andrews anchored the Cavaliers’ 4×800 relay team to a win at Millrose.

The Armory is also one of Andrews’ favorite tracks. He set two national records there while at Manalapan in the high school 800-and 1,000-meter runs.

Neptune native Ajeé Wilson, one of the brightest young stars in the sport and the fastest American over 800 meters in 2015, will return to Millrose.

Shannon Rowbury, the new American 1,500 record holder, will defend her 2015 NYRR Women’s Wanamaker Mile title.

Sky Blue FC selected 2015 MAC Hermann Trophy winner, Costa Rica international and Penn State University midfielder Raquel Rodriguez with the second overall pick in the 2016 National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) College Draft Jan. 15. With the selection, Sky Blue FC brings in a championship playmaker who played every minute for Costa Rica in the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup last summer before leading Penn State to the 2015 NCAA College Cup title this past fall.

The New Jersey club then added Hofstra University forward Leah Galton (second round, No. 13 overall), Rutgers University defender Erica Skroski (third round, No. 23 overall) and College of William and Mary goalkeeper Caroline Casey (third round, No. 29) in the draft.

A native of Harrogate, England, Galton, a Hermann Trophy semifinalist, registered 122 points while at Hofstra, which is a program record. She earned Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Player of the Year accolades for the past three consecutive years and is the only player in CAA history to do so.

Skroski comes to Sky Blue FC after anchoring the Rutgers back line to its most successful season in program history this past fall, where the Scarlet Knights reached the NCAA College Cup semifinals. The Galloway native received 2015 Big 10 Defender of the Year honors and was also named to the All-Big 10 First Team and NSCAA All-America Second Team.

Casey, a native of Virginia, is coming off an All-America First Team senior season at William and Mary, recording a 0.88 goals-against average, 86 saves and 11 shutouts while claiming 2015 CAA Defensive Player of the Year accolades.

Season tickets for 2016 are now on sale. Season-ticket packages start as low as $130 and can be purchased online. For any questions regarding season tickets, call the Sky Blue FC tickets department at 888-SBFC-TIX (888-723-2849) and a team representative will be happy to assist you.
