Donna Marie Grella (Moskal), loving mother and grandmother, passed away unexpectedly on Jan. 29 in her home in North Salt Lake, Utah, at the age of 57.
Donna was born on April 27, 1958, and was raised in Morgan before moving to Sayreville to start her family at 18. She also lived in her favorite place, Wildwood, before relocating to Salt Lake City, where she lived the rest of her life.
Donna was an amazing mother and grandmother and the most loving and caring person you could meet. She faced many hardships in her life, including overcoming a rare form of ovarian cancer. Donna was generous and kind to all people and animals. She was full of love, life and joy. She enjoyed every day of her life.
Donna enjoyed spending time with and cooking treats for her pets. She enjoyed walks on the beach, watching movies, drives in the canyon and spending time with her children and grandson.
Donna is now free from all the struggles she faced in this world. May she be happy and rest in peace.
We will always love you, Mom. Your life and spirit will live on through us forever.
Donna is survived by her children, Eric Grella and Brian Grella and his wife, Angela; her grandson, Alexander Grella; her aunt, Linda Frankel; her nephews, Edward, Shawn and Michael Grella, and Robert Frankel; her nieces, Christine Grella and Joanna Little; her beloved dogs, Dharma and Rocket. She is predeceased by her mother, Barbra Moskal; her grandparents, Anna and Joseph Moskal; and probably her favorite dog/best friend for 12 years, May.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Feb. 13 at Our Lady of Victories Roman Catholic Church, 42 Main St., Sayreville.
All family and friends are encouraged to attend in celebrating Donna’s life.
