CASA to honor New Brunswick mayor at May 1 Toast Event

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Middlesex County will be honoring Mayor Jim Cahill at a Toast Event on May 1. It is an open house occurring at Steakhouse 85 in New Brunswick from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with a program to commence at 12:30 p.m. The event’s Honorary Committee includes Senator Bateman, Steve DeMicco, Assemblyman Egan, John Fitzgerald, Jeanne Fox, Senator Greenstein, Mitchell Karon, Mayor John McCormac, Christopher Paladino, Senator Smith, Senator Thompson, Senator Vitale, and Assemblyman Wisniewski.

The event cost is $100 per ticket. Sponsorships can be purchased and ads in the ad journal can be placed online at www.casaofmiddlesexcounty.org/toast or by sending a check to CASA of Middlesex County at 77 Church St., New Brunswick, NJ 08901.

All proceeds benefit CASA of Middlesex County, a nonprofit that advocates for children living in foster care. CASA recruits, screens, trains and provides ongoing supervision to volunteers who are appointed by a judge to speak for a child’s best interests in court. Ultimately, the advocacy of CASA volunteers helps children living in foster care find safe, permanent, loving homes.
