The Westerhoff School of Music & Art will present pianist Holly Roadfeldt in a recital of music by Chopin, Rachmaninoff and other composers at 2 p.m. May 5. The event is part of the Westerhoff School Recital Series and will be held in the Recital Hall at the Westerhoff School, 5 Calvin Place, Metuchen. All are welcome. Admission is free.
Roadfeldt, who is on the piano faculty at the Westerhoff School, leads an active career as a performer, educator, lecturer and adjudicator. As a soloist and chamber musician, she has performed across the United States, Europe and Asia, and has received awards and recognition at the Frinna Awerbuch
International Piano Competition, the Concert Artists Guild International Piano Competition and the World International Competition, among others.
Roadfeldt has premiered over 70 works for solo piano and various chamber ensembles, and has presented lectures for the College Music Society and the Delaware State Music Teachers Association. She currently teaches at Lafayette College, Easton, Pa. and has taught at Susquehanna University, as well as at Gettysburg College and the University of Delaware.
