Computer classes offered in April at Metuchen Public Library

Metuchen Public Library, 480 Middlesex Ave., Metuchen, will offer the following Basic Computer Classes on Saturdays, from 2-3:30 p.m.: April 2, Basic Internet Search — this course will cover basic vocabulary, internet browser navigation, search engine use, searching strategies, and explore a wide variety of Internet sites. Basic computer knowledge, mouse and keyboard skills are required. Registration is open on March 18. April 23, Word 2010 Basics — this course will cover creating, editing, saving and printing documents, basic document formatting, editing and proofreading, and template use. Basic computer knowledge, mouse and keyboard skills are required. Registration is open on 4/8.

Each session is limited to eight persons. Registration is required and begins two weeks prior to each session. Basic computer knowledge, mouse and keyboard skills are required. Personal laptops, ipads, or other tablets may be used. The library does provide laptops for each session. Classes are open primarily to Metuchen residents.
