Eco-Tours of Edison, organized by the Edison Greenways Group, the Edison Wetlands Association and the Edison Open Space Advisory Committee, will hold its 17th year of open space tours in Edison. Various events have been scheduled:
Piscatawaytown Burial Ground Cleanup and Tour, 9 a.m. April 20. Meet behind St. James Church, Woodbridge Avenue and Park Way in Edison.
Earth Day at Dudash Park, 9 a.m. April 28. Meet at May Street in the Clara Barton- Sand Hills neighborhood of Edison. The day will include environmental events, hikes, water testing, cleanup, activities and historical information.
Birding Tour of the Dismal Swamp, May 18. An expert birder will lead a group through the uplands and meadows into the woods of the Dismal Swamp Conservation Area to spot birds. Go to edisonwetlands.org or call 732- 321-1300 for additional information.
National Trails Day, 10 a.m. June 1. Meet at Middlesex Greenway Trailhead, Middlesex Ave., Metuchen.
All tours are open to the public and will last approximately two hours. Participants should bring a beverage, binoculars, a compass, a notepad and a bird book.
