JAR of Hope is embarking on a new partnership with Steiner Sports, a producer of authentic hand-signed collectibles and sports experiences. Steiner Sports holds relationships with more than 2,000 athletes and works with corporations to help raise their profiles, and with select charities to help raise funds, according to a press release.
JAR of Hope Foundation was founded by Jim and Karen Raffone of Manalapan in September 2013 after their then-4-year-old son Jamesy was diagnosed with a very rare, fatal form of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy for which there is no cure.
“We are particularly thrilled to partner with JAR of Hope,” said Brandon Steiner, CEO of Steiner Sports, “because we represent professional athletes, who have use of their muscles, and Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy is a muscle-wasting disease.
“We are actively encouraging our stable of athletes to participate in this very worthy cause. Meeting little Jamesy was a pure joy. He really captured our hearts and we are excited about the opportunity to help. For us, this will be a labor of love,” Steiner said.
“We are proud to be affiliated with Steiner Sports,” said Jim Raffone. “It is great that an organization connected to thousands of athletes will be helping little boys who just want to live.”
