  • The Freehold Memorial Day Parade Committee in conjunction with The Cabin, Route 33, Howell, will be running a benefit night for this year’s parade on April 19 from 5-10 p.m. The parade committee will receive 20 percent of a guest’s pre-tax, pre-liquor bill as a donation.   • The Veterans Community Alliance of New Jersey will sponsor “Fishing For Heroes” on the Royal Miss Belmar from 4:30-8:30 p.m. May 21.   • The Jewish Heritage Museum of Monmouth County and Jewish Family and Children Services will co-sponsor a trip to the National Museum of American Jewish History in Philadelphia on May 24. The cost is $45 per person and includes round-trip bus transportation, docent-led small tours at the museum and a kosher boxed lunch.   • The Knights of Columbus will hold their monthly breakfast buffet on April 24 from 8-11:30 a.m. at 70 E. Main St., Freehold. The “All You Can Eat” breakfast is $7 per adult, $4 per child under 12, and family of four, $20. The special of the month is cornbeef hash and eggs with savory bread pudding.   • The Manalapan Seniors and Chapter 4 will sponsor a bus trip to a Trenton Thunder baseball game on Aug. 4. The bus will leave the Manalapan municipal complex at 5 p.m. and return at about 10:30 p.m. A reserved picnic area will include hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, veggie burgers, baked BBQ chicken, potato salad, garden salad and more from 6-8 p.m. Details: 732-446-8401.

• The Monmouth Cheer Academy will host a Vendor Blender shopping event from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 17 at 300 Campus Drive, Marlboro. Shopping, prizes, raffles, music and food. Free admission.   • Representatives from more than 200 colleges and universities will be on hand at the Spring 2016 Monmouth County College and Transfer Fair, set for April 21 from 6–8:30 p.m. at Brookdale Community College, Lincroft. • The Manalapan Senior Center will sponsor a trip to see the sights of the New York City and New Jersey skylines, including the Freedom Tower, the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and the Brooklyn Bridge. • Freehold Elks Lodge 1454, 73 W. Main St., Freehold, will host its monthly breakfast on April 17 from 9 a.m. to noon. Made-to-order breakfast, all you can eat. Adults are $9. • Brookdale Community College, Lincroft, will hold an open house on April 24 from noon to 2 p.m in the Collins Arena. High school students, career-changers and residents of all ages are invited to meet with Brookdale faculty, tour the campus and explore more than 50 degree and career training programs. • Vendors are being sought for an Italian festival to be held from June 29 through July 2, 6-11 p.m., at Freehold Raceway, Freehold.
