Sky Blue FC and Pine Belt of Lakewood form corporate partnership

Ahead of its 2016 home opener this past Sunday evening at Yurcak Field, Sky Blue FC (1-1-0, 3 points) of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) announced that it has formed a corporate partnership with the Pine Belt Auto Group located in Lakewood.

As part of the relationship, Pine Belt of Lakewood will have a patch placed on Sky Blue FC game jerseys this year. Additionally, Pine Belt of Lakewood will orchestrate a pair of giveaways during the season, one where a lucky winner will receive a free minivan and another where a fan will receive a free trip to Orlando when Sky Blue FC plays the expansion Orlando Pride on Sept. 10.

“We are very excited to create this corporate partnership with the team at Pine Belt of Lakewood,” said Tony Novo, Sky Blue FC president and general manager. “Through this relationship, we are going to collaborate in doing some great things in the community, and Pine Belt of Lakewood is presenting many exciting components to our games this season and for fans of Sky Blue FC. Every indicator is that this is going to be an outstanding partnership for both of us, and we very much look forward to what the future holds.”

Pine Belt of Lakewood is a family-owned and operated dealership at the Jersey Shore that has been in business since 1937. Offering a wide variety of new and used cars, trucks and SUVs, Pine Belt currently runs three dealerships in Lakewood and is an extremely active member of the surrounding community. Just a few of their notable philanthropic affiliations include Pine Belt Arena, Point Pleasant Beach Little League, United Way of Ocean County, Lakewood Police Department, Jewish Federation, Monmouth Medical Center and the Monmouth-Ocean Development Council.

“We are proud to establish this partnership with Sky Blue FC,” said Rob Sickel, vice president of Pine Belt Enterprises, Inc. “A major initiative of our company is to support and positively influence our community, and we know that Sky Blue FC shares that same vision as well. Additionally, the Sky Blue FC players and staff are outstanding role models, which makes this partnership even more appealing. Both of our organizations strive to give back to the community and set an example to make our region proud, so we know this is going to be a very fulfilling and beneficial relationship for both of our teams.”

Pine Belt of Lakewood will be doing a pair of major giveaways with Sky Blue FC this season, the first being a Salute to the Soccer Mom where an online contest will be launched for fans to submit nominations on who they think is the best soccer mom. The winner of the promotion will receive a two-year lease on a minivan from Pine Belt of Lakewood. Complete details for that contest will be announced in the very near future.

The second promotion, where a lucky fan will receive a free trip to Orlando in September to watch Sky Blue FC play the Orlando Pride, will also be launched this summer, with full instructions being announced in the coming weeks.
