A professor at the University for Music and Performing Arts in Vienna presented a master class in piano performance for members of the Cecilian Music Club of Freehold.
Two of Stephan Moeller’s most accomplished students, Aida Akhmetova from Kazakhstan and Qiaochu Zheng from China, performed on May 8.
Zheng began the program, playing two Fantasies (Fantasiestucke) Opus 12 by Robert Schumann. Akhmetova presented Etudes No. 7, No. 8, No. 9 and No. 10 by Frederic Chopin.
Cecilian Club members who attended the master class were Jennifer Bao of East Brunswick, George Borisov of Colts Neck, Helen Bungert of Howell, Beth Chen of Marlboro, Lisa Frost-Goodall of Red Bank, Barbara Lerro of Freehold, Lillian Livingston of Englishtown, Jim Manganaro of Princeton and Marina Strakovsky of Rumson.
