Training for startup businesses offered

UCEDC, a nonprofit economic development corporation, is offering an intensive sixweek workshop for those with start-up businesses who are in the idea/planning phase or have been in operation for less than a year.

The next session of “Entrepreneurship 101: Are You Really Ready to Start Your Own Business?” — which will be held at the Woodbridge Recreation Department (community center), 600 Main St. — is scheduled from 6-9 p.m. on Monday evenings beginning June 11 and continuing through July 16.

Participants will be guided through a real-world assessment of their business idea and market feasibility, as well as their own ability to handle the demands of business ownership. The program will address through various interactive exercises the steps to opening a business in New Jersey, choosing a legal structure, developing a business plan, and establishing cost, revenue and cash flow projections.

Registration is open. For details, call UCEDC at 908-527-1166 or visit www.ucedc.com/events.
