The 2016 South Brunswick Public Library Summer Reading Fun programs, sponsored by the Friends of the Library, recently began at the library, 110 Kingston Lane, Monmouth Junction. Adults, children, ’tweens and teens are invited to join.
Highlights will include classes, workshops and events, including the annual Summer Family Fun Festival planned for 11 a.m.-2 p.m. July 9 at Beechwoods Park, 37 Beekman Road, Monmouth Junction.
“Exercise Your Mind: Read!,” this year’s adult summer-reading program, is open to ages 18 and up. Registration is not required. Participants, who should fill out a prize entry form for every book they read, will create the fifth annual Summer Reading Mural. Interested individuals should email [email protected] to participate. For more information, log on to sbpl.info/summer-reading.
“Get in the Game Read or Not!” is the teen program for students in grades 7-12. Individuals can win prizes with or without reading. Participants must interact with the library’s resources, online or in person; if they are reading, there is a bonus prize. Signup and rules are available online at sbpl.info/teens/summerreading.
South Brunswick children up to grade 7 are invited to “On Your Mark, Get Set … Read!” Participants will win prizes by reading at home and attending the fit-and-fun events at the library.
