Add yet another model to the swelling list of “big-buck pickup trucks” — the Chevrolet Silverado High Desert, which will be available this fall via an option package on 2017 LT, LTZ and High Country versions.
Coming with distinguishing interior and exterior trim, the High Desert trucks feature a new water-resistant lockable storage system with dual side storage bins, a cargo divider, and a three-piece hard cargo bed cover.
This also is the first Silverado to offer General Motors’ acclaimed Magnetic Ride Suspension that should give this full-size truck more-sophisticated ride and handling qualities (it’s likewise featured in the top Denali trim level of the Silverado’s corporate sibling, the GMC Sierra, along with select Chevy, Cadillac, Audi and even Ferrari models).
Expect prices for a fully configured High Country edition to approach or even exceed the $60,000 mark for a top Crew Cab version loaded with amenities.
