Mary Weiland

Mary Weiland, 83, of Old Bridge died peacefully, surrounded by family on July 13, 2016. Born Wednesday, May 10, 1933, in Cresson, Pennsylvania, she was one of nine children to the late Robert J. and Harriet (nee Winder) Kenny.

Mary was married to the love of her life, Robert Weiland, for 53 years. Together they moved to Old Bridge in 1960, where they were parishioners of St. Ambrose Church. Mary was a nurse (LPN) for many years and last worked at H.I.P. in New Brunswick. She was an avid reader and enjoyed watching Jeopardy, but most of all Mary enjoyed the time she spent with her family whom she adored.

Mary is survived by her loving children, Bonnie Weygand of Lansdale, Pennsylvania, Colleen Dougherty and her husband, Robert, of East Brunswick, Sean Weiland and his wife, Amelia, of Matawan, and Bryan Weiland of Sayreville; her cherished eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; and a caring sister, Alma Barnyak, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Mary is predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Robert M. Weiland; her sons, R. Michael Weiland II and Timothy Weiland; her brothers, William, Bryan, Robert, Daniel and John Kenny; and sisters, Irma Jean Weiss and Harriet Schenk.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on July 18 at St. Ambrose Church, Throckmorton Lane, Old Bridge. Private cremation to follow.
