Library hosting summer lunch program for children

LONG BRANCH — The Long Branch Free Public Library is offering free lunches to anyone under the age of 18, through Aug. 26, at 328 Broadway.

Food is being provided by the FoodBank of Monmouth County, with funding from the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Meals will be served Monday through Friday from 12-2 p.m. and consist of protein, vegetable, fruit and milk.

Meals will be eaten in the Community Meeting Room under the supervision of library staff. A family movie appropriate for young viewers may be screened occasionally while the children are eating lunch. Meals are free, and registration is not required.
