Harp soloist Karen Stern will perform at the Jewish Community Center (JCC) of Middlesex County on Sept. 20 at 1:30 p.m. Cost is $8 for JCC members and $11 for nonmembers.
The program will include music in a variety of styles, ranging from the Baroque (Handel) to the romantic (Debussy) to the contemporary — something for everyone. Stern performed regularly with the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra for many years. She participated in the orchestra’s two trips to Ireland, has produced several CDs, and was the orchestra’s soloist in Mozart’s Concerto for Flute and Harp during one of their Mozart festivals. During her varied career, she has also performed with the American Symphony Orchestra, NYC Ballet, American Ballet Theater, NYC Opera and in Broadway shows. She particularly enjoys performing and sharing her music in an intimate atmosphere.
