OLD BRIDGE – Middlesex County officials visited Old Bridge to share information on county programs available for active seniors, veterans, and those needing varying levels of care.
Middlesex County Freeholder Director Ronald G. Rios met with about 40 seniors on Aug. 22 as part of a series of visits to municipal senior centers throughout the County. He was joined by Laila Caune, director of the county’s Office of Aging and Disabled Services.
“Seniors are living longer, are healthier and like to live independently in their homes with the right supports,” Rios said. “The Middlesex County Freeholder Board and our entire county staff are dedicated to serving our residents by providing quality programs to help veterans and seniors continue to live well in the community and at home.”
Rios has already met with senior citizens in Carteret, East Brunswick, Sayreville, Perth Amboy and South Brunswick. Upcoming visits include Highland Park and Jamesburg.
