Sarah Jessica Parker returns to HBO in the new comedy series Divorce, which debuts on Sunday, Oct. 9 at 10 p.m. Parker, who won both a Golden Globe and Emmy Award for her role in HBO’s Sex in the City series, stars as Frances, who after more than a decade of marriage with two children, has begun to reassess her life and her strained relationship with her husband Robert (Thomas Haden Church). But she soon discovers that making a clean break and a fresh start is harder than she thought.

National Geographic Channel will premiere the global television movie event Killing Reagan on Sunday, Oct. 16 at 8 p.m., and eventually in 171 countries and in 45 languages in early 2017. Based on the Bill O’Reilly and Martin Dugard best-selling book, the film charts the events that led to the attempted assassination of a president and its unexpected reverberations on history. Leading the cast are Tim Matheson as Ronald Reagan and Cynthia Nixon as Nancy Reagan. Kyle More portrays John Hinckley Jr.

ABC will premiere its new comedy series American Housewife on Tuesday, Oct. 11 at 8:30 p.m. Katie Otto (Katy Mixon), a confident, unapologetic wife and mother of three, raises her flawed family in the wealthy town of Westport, Connecticut, filled with “perfect” mommies and their “perfect” offspring. As she fights to instill some good old fashioned values in her kids, she receives support from her husband, Greg (Diedrich Bader), but with a dash of reality thrown in as they work to ensure their children do not end up like everyone else.

Discovery Channel’s highest rated show Gold Rush returns for its seventh season on Friday, Oct. 14 at 9 p.m. This season, the stakes are higher than ever, as the miners will take even greater risks in hopes of finding more gold than ever before.
