Young boy suffers head injury after being hit by car

 

MONROE – A young boy was seriously injured when he was hit by a car while riding his bike.

Penny Radziewicz, 50, of Jamesburg, was traveling south on Old Forge Road approaching the intersection of Boxwood Drive around 3:45 p.m. on Nov. 4, according to information provided by the Monroe Police Department, when a 12-year-old pedalcyclist entered the same location from the east.

The young boy was struck by the 2009 Cadillac SRX and suffered a serious head injury, police said. He was transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick by Monroe Township First Aid and paramedics.

Radziewicz was not injured. No charges were filed against Radziewicz as of press time, according to the report by the Monroe Police Department.

The crash is being investigated by Sgt. Sergeis Jangols and Officer Daniel Mosakowski of the Monroe Township Police Traffic Safety Division. Anyone with information should call 732-521-0222, ext 126.
