MCC to offer Biosciences Forum

A one-day forum designed to help high school students explore science will be held at Middlesex County College on Saturday, May 22. The free program is sponsored by BIO 1, a consortium of industry, organizations and colleges and universities and funded by the Wired grant of the U.S. Department of Labor.

Students who participate in the forum can choose one of four activities to demonstrate their scientific and creative talents in a particular topic related to biology: computer technology (design of a website, animation, video or PowerPoint presentation); debate; essay; or poster presentations of hands-on research.

Students will be judged by a panel of educators trained in the biosciences. All students will receive a certificate recognizing their participation. Top students will receive awards and internships.

Students can apply for the program through their high school or by visiting www.middlesexcc. edu/njbsf/control.cfm. For more information, contact Dr. Narayanan at 732- 548-6000, ext. 3146, [email protected], or Darlene Yoseloff, director of school relations, at 732-906-2554 or [email protected].
