Sting will receive The American Music Award of Merit and perform a medley of songs during the live broadcast of the 2016 AMA‘s on Sunday, Nov. 20 at 8 p.m. on ABC. He joins show opener Bruno Mars. Drake has garnered a record-setting 13 nominations, with Rihanna receiving 7, while Adele and Justin Bieber each received 5 nominations.
As a part of its annual Countdown to Christmas event, Hallmark Channel will premiere the original movie Broadcasting Christmas on Friday, Nov. 25 at 8 p.m. Starring Dean Cain and Melissa Joan Hart, the film revolves around an ambitious television anchor (Hart) aimed at climbing the ranks. Shortly before Christmas, the prized position presents itself, with stiff competition from a local TV anchor at another station (Cain). Some key questions will be addressed. Who can cover the most meaningful Christmas stories? Will Meredith and Nolan find the true meaning of Christmas and determine that the top prize isn’t the most important thing? Will love be in the air this Christmas?
Netflix will premiere the limited series Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life on Friday, Nov. 25, starring Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Scott Patterson and Kelly Bishop. Also returning from the original series is Sean Gunn and Keiko Agena.
