Physical activity program for cancer survivors at the YMCA

The Edison YMCA, in collaboration with LiveStrong Foundation, will provide a free 12-week physical activity program for cancer survivors 18 years and over.

The program is designed to slowly and steadily build strength, flexibility and stamina in participants. The next session begins on Jan. 31. Sessions meet Tuesday and Thursday from 6-7 p.m. The class will focus on strength, flexibility, cardiovascular and yoga meditation techniques. The class is offered free of charge for participants and welcomes survivors of all types of cancer, from the point of diagnosis through treatment and years beyond.

Contact the Welcome Center at 732-494-3232 or email [email protected]. All participants must meet with Kim Shibata prior to the start of the LiveStrong program.
