Congregation Beth-El of Edison is running their annual Men’s Pre-Season Softball Tournament at Warren Park in Woodbridge on Sunday April 1, at 8:30 a.m. All teams will play a minimum of three games, and trophies will be handed out to the Top 3 teams. The tournament is an eight-team field and is in need of one more team. The fee for the tournament is $275 and all proceeds go to the synagogue. Middle School to hold flea market Feb. 24
A Flea Market & Collectible Show will be held Saturday, Feb. 24, Indoors & Outdoors, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Thomas Jefferson Middle School, 450 Division St. Edison. More than vendors, selling an array of new merchandise, crafts, collectibles & garage/tag sale items. Take a chance at winning a $100,000 shopping spree.

Library celebrating Black History Month in Feb.
Those who read about a famous black American during the month of February can pick up a biography form at the Metuchen Public Library and answer questions based on the book they read. Anyone who fills out and returns the form will get a prize, and the form will be placed in a binder for others to read. One lucky winner will also receive a bookstore gift card.
