A reception for the current exhibit by Metuchen senior artists will be held from 1-3 p.m. on March 4 at Metuchen Borough Hall’s Rotunda Gallery, 400 Main St., Metuchen.
Inclement weather will move the reception to March 11. The public is invited to attend.
The artists are part of a group, The Paint and Palette Association, which meets at Metuchen’s Senior Center each Thursday. The history of the group dates back 20 years when members took a watercolor class at the Senior Center.
The current instructor and class guide is Linnae Bulun. Many artists in the group are award winners of various Middlesex County and New Jersey art contests. Works of art include still-lifes, landscapes, portraits and more. The media represented in this show will include watercolors, pastels, mixed media, monochrome, watercolor and charcoal.
Artists who will be at the reception to talk about their work and to answer questions include Diane Andersen, Michele Bartell, Loretta Brower, Linda Crownover, Ralph Hertle, Michelina Dalli Seppi, Jay Shroff, Dr. Yogini Shroff, David Wong and Jocelyn Wong.
The Rotunda Gallery senior exhibit is on display until the end of April, and the gallery is open during Metuchen Borough Hall hours Monday through Friday. Other works of these senior artists are also currently on display on the main floor of the Metuchen Library.
