St. Patrick’s Day Dinner to benefit church’s food pantry

The Outreach and Mission Ministry of St. John’s United Methodist Church will hold a St. Patrick’s Day Dinner from 6-7:30 p.m. on March 17 at 2000 Florence Ave., Hazlet.

Dinner is $12 per adult and $8 for each child and will feature corned beef and cabbage, dine-in or take-out.

Proceeds will benefit St. John’s Food Pantry, which provides food to anyone in need on Thursday evenings from 5:30-7 p.m.

At St. John’s Food Pantry, visitors are served light refreshments and “shop” for their food choices. They can also benefit from the services of the FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties with assistance offered for tax preparation, health care, government programs, SNAP, WIC and more. The pantry also provides Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter food baskets as well as Christmas presents for area children.
