The South River Police Department Basketball Free-Throw Tournament, open to South River youngsters in kindergarten-12th grade, is planned for 10 a.m. March 25 in the South River Middle School gymnasium, Montgomery Street.
Trophies will be awarded to the top three winners in each of six age groups and to the overall champion. Refreshments will be available for purchase.
Waivers, which will be sent home with students and also may be obtained in the main office at each of the borough public schools or at police headquarters at 61 Main St., must be completed by the participant’s parent or guardian in advance and submitted no later than March 23. Additional waivers will be available at the door for walk-ins on the day of the event; however, a parent or guardian must be present to sign. All participants in the tournament must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
