The Family Addiction Network will hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. on March 21 at the West Long Branch Community Center, 116 Locust Ave., West Long Branch.
Miles Logan from the Fresh Start re-entry program, which is based out of the Long Branch Free Public Library, will be at the March meeting. The Fresh Start program provides support for previously incarcerated individuals who are searching for employment. The program was established in 2012, but has recently been relaunched through a partnership with the Monmouth University School of Social Work. It includes one-on-one sessions with a social work intern and assistance with résumé writing, job searching, referrals and interview preparation.
Miles began working on the program last September and has placed a strong emphasis on developing the program’s structure for future interns. He has also spent time networking with government and community organizations to develop resources for the program’s participants.
