The South Brunswick Senior Center will offer the following programs during April for resident members age 55 and older at the center, 540 Ridge Rd., Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick:
- The movie “Fences” will be shown at 12:30 p.m. on April 6, a Bollywood film at 12:30 p.m. April 11 and “Fantastic Beasts” at 12:30 p.m. on April 25.
- An art lecture on Norwegian-born Edvard Munch will be presented by art historian Maurice Mahler at 12:30 p.m. on April 21.
- The South Brunswick Board of Education hosted “The Senior Citizen I Love” essay contest. Winners will present their writings to their special seniors at 12:30 p.m. on April 20.
- An AARP Safe Driving Course will be offered from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on April 28. Learn current rules of the road; defensive driving techniques; how to operate your vehicle more safely; and how to accommodate common age-related changes in vision, hearing and reaction time. There may be eligibility for an insurance discount upon completing the course. The cost is $15 for AARP members or $20 for non-AARP members, cash only.
- Tom Horanoff from SYNERGY Home Care will host a version of “The Price is Right” at 12:30 p.m. on April 17.
- South Brunswick High School will hold its annual Living Legacies program at 12:15 p.m. on April 27, presenting monologues reflecting the lives of township residents who have made an impact in South Brunswick. Registration is due by April 13.
