George R. Munzing Sr., 70, a 20-year resident of North Brunswick, died March 6, 2017 at St. Peter’s Hospital in New Brunswick.
He was born in Newark to the late Joseph and Ruth, and had resided in Piscataway previous to North Brunswick.
George worked as a pharmaceutical technician and machinist for many years for Ethicon in Bridgewater before retiring three years ago. He also was an Army veteran serving in the 25th Infantry during the Vietnam War. He was a life member of the VFW in North Brunswick Post 911 and also a member of the American Legion Post 261 in Piscataway.
Surviving are his two sons, George Jr. and his wife Cris of Piscataway, Jeffrey and his wife Tina of Manalapan, a brother Ricky Pallitto of Maine, and three grandchildren: Nate, Victoria and Christopher.
Visiting will be Friday from 4-9 p.m. at the Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Ave., Dunellen. There will be a 10 a.m. funeral service on Saturday at the funeral home with entombment following at Resurrection Mausoleum in Piscataway.
