LONG BRANCH — To help protect young athletes from sustaining lasting damage from sports-related injuries, Monmouth Medical Center, together with Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus and the Matthew J. Morahan III Health Assessment Center for Athletes, will hold “Play It Safe” Cardiac and Concussion Screenings for Young Athletes from 8 a.m.-noon on April 1.
Young athletes and their families are invited to be proactive and take charge of their health by signing up for a free screening. Concussion screenings are available for athletes age 12 and older, and complimentary cardiac screenings will be available for children age 6 through 18.
The cardiac screenings are open to the first 130 athletes registered, and concussion screenings are available to the first 80 athletes registered. All screenings will be held at Monmouth Medical Center, 300 Second Ave., Long Branch. Registration is required. To schedule, email [email protected].
