Restaurant offering new menu items and Bracket Challenge

ALLENDALE — Quaker Steak & Lube is bringing down the house with its limited-time menu featuring a blues and rock music theme at its locations in Brick, Edison and Pohatcong.

“Bourbon and Blues,” “Rhythm & Blues Sirloin,” “Jammin’ Bacon Sirloin” and “Rock the Boat” are just a few of the new entrees.

“We are happy to introduce all these new dishes,” said John Ponczoch, senior vice president of TravelCenters of America’s TA Restaurant Group, which owns and franchises Quaker Steak & Lube.

The restaurant has also tipped off its $1 Million Bracket Challenge, where a perfect men’s college basketball championship bracket — picking the winners of all 63 games correctly — will score a lucky winner the grand prize of $1 million.

A first-place prize of a 2017 Ford Mustang will go to the power player predicting 60 or more games correctly in the bracket competition. Quaker Steak & Lube’s locations in Brick, Edison and Pohatcong will also award a local prize of free wings for a year to a local guest with the best bracket in each restaurant. Registration is now open at thelube.com.
